War marriage and its emotional, and practical, effect on a sheltered girl, as Rebecca Cross, whose mother had always dominated her life, marries Rich ToLinde in Florids, only to have him leave, suddenly, on Air Transport work. Back in Washington with her mother, she realises from his letters that there is no promise of permanence in their marriage, or even -- on his part -- any of the love she feels for him. When she learns that she is pregnant, she refuses to let anyone tell him about the baby. Her mother's irresponsible drifting life forces Rebecca to leave and go to live with his family during her pregnancy. There she becomes aware of what her mother is, so that when her sister-in-law gets the man her mother wants, Rebecca cannot be sorry. After her daughter is born, Rich returns and Rebecca goes to Florida to meet him. The first fear of misunderstanding behind them, they find common ground and hurry back to their child...Allover problem today in a reasonably good rental item.
