KIRKUS REVIEW

Petticoat palpitations as Kit, social secretary, and her boss, Tracy, tangle over the same man, their neighbor-for-the-summer, Kirk. Kit is insecure in her knowledge that her father was a thief, and imprisoned; Tracy is arrogently certain that she can get Kirk; and Kirk prefers Kit, who hides the fact, fights him off and runs away. Mike, a hard drinking newspaper man, comes into the picture, restores Kit's balance, helps run down the facts about her father, and ultimately marries Tracy himself, after Tracy has been convinced that she must follow a definite pattern of life. Somewhat above average froth, with a sediment of real problems. Rentals.
