FLIGHT TODAY AND TOMORROW

By

Pub Date: Oct. 20th, 1953
Publisher: Whittlesey House

A satisfactory once-over-lightly on flight by an established school science director whose career has included posts at Columbia's Childhood Center and the Shipley School. A personalized narrative puts the reader in the pilot's position and the flights he goes on rise from a monoplane to a moon-bound rocket. All possible essentials, for so short a book, are well presented, and its unique contribution is its over-all view instead of a particular aspect, of all flight. But for more grounding in special branches look at the books suggested in the bibliography.
