SIR LANCELOT AND SCAMP

Large 24-point type and selected vocabulary makes this a good beginning reading book, and the story of a white greyhound's disgrace and a little cocker's helping him win his master's favor has plenty of interest. Lance finds the cocker, who has been hurt, brings him to the ranch, and little Scamp's charm leads them both into trouble, with Lance always getting the blame. Lance saves Scamp's life again, and it is when they both protect a mare and her colt from a puma that Lance gains his owner's approval and the same house privileges as Scamp. As usual the authors' canine pictures are tops.
