Pretty thin -- particularly in retrospect -- but designed for mildly pleasant entertainment, passe le temps for conservatives. There is a certain old-fashioned charm in this story of a childhood romance that comes true in the end. An all-powerful multi-millionaire has a granddaughter, who, at 13, was taken to the Riviera by her selfish, beautiful mother, and then brought back again when the onset of the war saw them penniless. This is the story of Angela's reconversion to the wholesome girl she had been -- and her realization that her childhood love was still her true love.
