Substantial shakeup for Constansia, who -- on the verge of marrying Ray, a crank for eugamiss, finds out that she is atopted, and is afraid of her suitability as wife and mother since no one can for her black lines. She turns to Gil, his best friend, who takes her on face value and they settle in his home town and she tries to get a lend on her parentage. She finds she is not in love with Gil, and they agree to a divorce and she plans, free, to marry . During her sleuthing, she lea that she was beast fine blood, and legitimacy, but she decides that after all she loves the man who took her on trust.
