THE LAW AND THE MCLAUGHLINS

By

Publisher: Doubleday, Doran

This rests a bit on the oars, and suggests an outline for a story rather than the finished product. Descendants of the ""able McLaughlins"" carry on -- with very little change in viewpoint through the generations. A lynching has taken place. The victims are with difficulty recognized. The lynching is not connected in any other way than choice of location with the community, but various and sundry feel it their duty to hound the lynchers to the grave. Only one member of the family rebels. This is the story of her rebellion. Thinly spun.
