THE ALLINGHAM MINIBUS by Margery Allingham

THE ALLINGHAM MINIBUS

by Margery Allingham

Pub Date: Dec. 3rd, 1973
Publisher: Morrow/HarperCollins

Eighteen brief entertainments featuring one of the late Miss Allingham's amusing sidelines — hosts of ghosts and at least one ghoul perform in chillers that are traditional at the base, lit by candles and hurricane lamps, pointed with a quite wicked humor. There's the perfect butler who can "turn away. . . anybody or anything"; a flurry of very dead letters; revenge at a gravesite, etc. And Campion appears twice. This minibus should go far with those who like their ghosts substantial.
