The mountain that this city-dwelling little black girl climbs is really a playground jungle gym, and the whole book is a rhyme in which she imagines the sand box to be a desert, the tall buildings mountains (again), the rain-soaked streets a lake, etc. A slight and commonplace idea to start with, it's boxed here into indifferent couplets, which the freer but predictable black and white sketches fail to energize.
