Here's a new type of book from Marguerite Clement, whose Once in France deserved a wider public than it secured. This time she has told stories of heroes and heroines of Old France, many of them new stories for American children, in her inimitable way. Unusual format, with colored pictures making bands across the top of each page, has been planned by Germaine and Pierre L'Hardy. The details of costume are very exact, giving an effect of pageantry.
