KIRKUS REVIEW

An extra-perspective reaching into the acquisitive growing consciousness of primary school youngsters makes this new de Angeli story a delightful experience, especially for youngsters who are about to move from one place to another about the country. Jeffrey wanted to be like his older brother David and go to school, and when he heard that the family were going to move permanently from Pennsylvania to Ohio, he thought he might have a chance. The trip to Ohio in the car with Mother, Dad, baby Henry and the two boys is sometimes boring, but more often exciting, with new places to see, games, and picnics along the way. Also the world seems bigger, seen from Ohio, and best of all, Jeffrey goes to school. Just the thing for youngsters wary about pulling up and starting in a new school.
