NATURE IN RECREATION

A book primarily for camp directors, scout leaders, nature instructors, designed to foster the enjoyment of living things and the way they live, rather than the hobby of collecting specimens of butterflies, etc. There are camp projects to make campers nature conscious; there are suggestions for collecting of rocks, minerals, etc; there is some space given to photography. There are sections on handicrafts that stem from nature, the use of nature to supply inspiration for designs, motifs. Other sections deal with nature in games, in dramatics, in music, in dancing. The qualifications for leadership are stressed. Excellent bibliography for reading along nature lines.
