ARTS AND CRAFTS

A valuable aid for people with craft experience primarily, though some of the ideas could be worked out by beginners, or by students under direction. The book handles almost more crafts than can adequately be presented in one volume and does it as well as any one book could. Weaving and metal and jewelry need more space. The section on paper work particularly is excellent. The designs are good though not outstanding. Valuable suggestions for making own equipment -- an important item today. The book covers more crafts than Crafts for Fun (Perry), but neither illustrations nor designs are as original.
