BLOOM!

Adolescent drama queens have nothing on an affected peppermint-pink piggy called Bloom who declares that she “will never love again” after her infatuated heart is broken by a blue butterfly (dubbed “a flying flower” by the lovesick pig) that does not return her affections. Never mind that there’s a perfectly fine porcine playmate nearby, patiently waiting for his attentions to bedroom-eyed Bloom to . . . well . . . blossom. This glorified greeting card is overpoweringly pink-and-white—even the text—illustrated with splashes of rosy watercolor defined by fine black-ink lines and a crayon scribble or two.
