KIRKUS REVIEW

Two Kansas City boys are invited to spend several months with a girl cousin on a finca (coffee plantation) in Guatemala. They go by plane, linking the modern and the traditional ways of life dramatically. They have adventures in the jungles, they find a mysterious pool and see a witch doctor; they experience an earthquake and volcano. Good entertainment, with authentic background of plantation life. The illustrations have caught the quality of a colorful country.
