A PICTURE BOOK OF THE FARM

This is a disappointment. The photographs are lovely, although they seem deliberately to catch the picturesque side of farm life rather than the realistic side. The text follows the adventures of two boys year-round on a Wisconsin farm, but there is a disjointed, episodic quality to the telling, that is occasionally sentimental. Book is uniform with Pueblo Boy.
