KIRKUS REVIEW

Another airy but attractive hostess cookbook, here featuring hot weather fare in which food is gussied up with herbs and heavy sauces, chopped, grated and crumbled this-and-that. Like the authors' other books, this is stuffed with menu ideas, and there is a cheering introductory group of meal plans for informal summer gatherings from park picnics to patio dinners -- with a list of appropriate silverware. Purists will not be convinced by many ingredient-and-dish-combinations but for those in need -- ideas aplenty.
