A HANDBOOK FOR LIBRARY TRUSTEES

By

Publisher: Bowker

Not since the issue of Anna G. Hall's The Library Trustee revised in 1927 has there been a satisfactory manual for the library trustee. This is a compilation of varied experiences and contributions, a book by trustees for trustees. While one could wish for a bit more human interest material and specific experiences, there is in concise form, a great deal of useful factual data on the respective functions of trustees and staff, on the relation of the trustees to the Board of Education, on Association Libraries, Private Libraries, etc. The powers, duties, qualifications of board members, the relations with librarian and staff, all are here. An excellent handbook.
