Miss Moore tells these three well known fairy tales in a simple language, maintaining a folk tone in each. Basing her versions on the French renderings by Perrault, she follows along after Sleeping Beauty and her prince after he has awakened her, and leaves not only Cinderella happy with her prince, but the two wretched step-sisters betrothed to nobles. The extension of these two tales is the only exceptional aspect of the book. These remarks are limited by the fact that the illustrations by Eugene Karlin were not ready at the time the galley was sent.
