KIRKUS REVIEW

A collection of poetry which halves rather sharply in both context and style; the first groups of poems are lyrical, dealing with lesser phases of the outside world, seasonal change, birds, rabbits, deer -- these are volatile and fanciful, and quite charming. The second half are on present day themes, the migratory worker, unemployment, poverty, the Spanish war; these are more intense, terse, clipped, more propanganda than poetry. Not just another volume of women's verse -- it has distinction and sound merit.
