In a deserted lake camp in Minnesota two boys unearth a rare natural treasure. When Jim's mother is told that she must give up Timber Wolf Lodge, the teen age boy resolves to find the means to save the family home. This he does by following the lead of his late father and unearthing a treasure of wild rice. Lots of action and rich detail of the region and its history make this a boy's mystery adventure, somewhat above the average.
