Another thriller, with the heady excitement of gold fever, the gambling spirit of the true prospector, in the story of young Ricky's expedition with his father and uncle into the Canadian far north, in searching out a hot tip on a rich vein. Real he-man stuff, brought into today's adventuring by planes and motors, and yet set against vast areas of wilderness, the tricks and hazards of rival prospectors, making camp, staking claims, waiting for the strike that means riches, facing false hopes and short tempers and disappointments. Grand reading, with lots of accurate geological data thrown in.
