THE MOON GUITAR

No pluck to these strings. In San Francisco's Chinatown, Su-Lin is fighting Grandfather's old country standards, supported by Tracy Webster's all-American enthusiasm. Independent Tracy wants to look for the Lee family moon guitar, an heirloom lost in the 1906 earthquake, and Su-Lin even starts to cut Chinese class to accompany her adventurous friend. At first ""Chinatown turns out to be just like Minnesota,"" despairs Tracy, but then Mysterious Mr. Wu and supposedly benign Uncle Sing behave curiously and the rest is a predictable sequence of search, recovery despite Wu's wangling, and permission for Su-Lin to go American with even Grandfather drinking to the new generation.
