THE COUPLE WHO WANT A BABY

This book has been designated for the 10-to-16% of the couples who are childless, half of which can be helped by medical guidance and treatment. Dr. Warner considers- in clinical but non-technical terms- the many factors which may cause sterility, or wrongly- make some women anxious to avoid pregnancy (age; illness; etc.). She explains the reproductive system of the male-and female- in some detail; the organic obstructions which may prevent pregnancy; the diagnostic techniques which are available-and the many methods of treatment which may well be successful. Certainly, the emotional factors (tension, fear, etc.) are not discounted.... A reliable and reassuring explanation of fertility and sterility factors -- and the first since Morris Fishbein's Children for the Childless.
