OLDA MEIR: Woman with a Cause

Her cause is the future of Israel, and as that country's Foreign Minister and chief delegate to the U.N., she is the most successful woman of obscure birth in modern politics, and the only American Jew- and female at that- to hold a prominent post in Israel's government. Her story is one of tremendous personal energy, ambition and dedication. It is also the story of the making of her chosen nation, from pioneer days to the present. While this is an ""authorized"" biography and confessedly not objective, Miss Syrkin's portrait deserves to be called honest as well as skillful.
