Let's ask Mom and Dad if we can keep him? The subject of this familiar question is Peanuts, first, mistaken for a rockin the lake when Bill and Jane, out rowing, perch on him to eat their peanut-butter sandwiches. Attracted by the sandwiches, Peanuts follows them home. But Mom and Dad never do see Peanuts, for he hides on the roof when they go outside for a look, and on second thought Bill and Jane decide to keep him a secret. So they get a paper route to pay for all those peanut-butter sandwiches, and he remains ""their very own secret dinosaur."" Might as well, for beyond the built-in saurophile appeal he won't make much news.
