These recipes, for the allergic, substitute alternatives for forbidden foods, prove that if you are on a diet- it need not be dull, and diversify the cooking methods of every course from canapes to candies. Once your specific trouble spot is determined, it should be easy to follow the recipes here which are arranged in sections- first omitting eggs and milk and cereal flours, and then combining them with the basic diets. There are special pointers on baby diets, those for young children, teen agers, parties, or reducing diets- along with warnings on the unsuspected sources of possible irritants. Should be a boon for the cook as well as the patient.
