KIRKUS REVIEW

Doubleday has very recently had a book with the same idea, how tragic that the best points of both volumes are not found in one, there seems little need for two books on the same subject at the same time! Leonard Weisgard has done black and whites of each instrument which are on the right hand pages facing descriptive test and a small sketch showing the use of the earliest types made. These pictures do not seem very substantial or appealing. The text of the Doubleday book is younger and uses photographs for illustrations.
