CARING FOR THE SICK CHILD AT HOME

By

Publisher: Westminster

Earlier this season Harper published Paulette Hartrich's You and Your Child's Health (p. 338) which emphasized the right attitudes and approaches to the child in the bed, rather than the regimen of medical and practical care which is fully charted here. So, from the maintenance of the sickroom- to the sustenance of the patient, the schedule, the treatments (compresses, inhalations, etc.), the handling of communicable diseases and pertinent facts about them, entertainment and activities graded by age groups, convalescence, household accidents and emergencies, community resources--this is specific, applicable advice on home nursing care. It is still questionable whether she who is on the run in this situation will also read.
