GRIM GROW THE LILACS

Nicely set and sustained, this story of an ártist coterie set on edge by the marriage of their patron to a cheap blonde who threatens to dispossess them of their berth. Animosity ends in murder of the new wife, and Mrs. Stevens, next door neighbor, steps in to save her friends. Not topnotch- but satisfying entertainment.
