KIRKUS REVIEW

Death of a supposed descendant of Napoleon in Connecticut embroils Gaunt, a young publisher, in the unraveling of the crime. He works on the theory of coincidences, saves an innocent boy, and shares all facts with the reader. Double romance plus Napoleonic data make this a nice job of its kind.
