An urban high-riser gets some community spirit when Kevin Hulick goes out for football. No place to play (except at school) and no one to help him are his problems; former football star ""Jumping"" Jim Jackson, who happens to live on the top floor, solves them by getting the boys permission to play on the apartment lawn and forming an athletic group which he coaches. Kevin is a city type--broken home, pigeons for friends, playing in elevators for fun. Though it sometimes reads like a case study in community development, this has city solutions for city kids, a simple story and some basic football scenes.
