KIRKUS REVIEW

Sheer nonsense, but I think the young fry will like it. The ""Sooner Hound"" got his name because he'd sooner run than eat. He put the railroad company that employed his master in a tough spot, because he outran all their trains, even the crack express -- just so as to keep near his beloved owner. He finally won the right to sit in the engine -- and save the reputation of the train.
