KIRKUS REVIEW

Cunning story and entertaining pictures. Small William must needs stop to tie his shoestring, and the older children wouldn't wait, so William went to see the circus parade by himself, had a private view and was invited to ride on the elephant. When he joined forces with his ""elders"" he kept them waiting for the story while he tied the other shoestring.
