ROBIN ON THE RIVER by Marjorie Hayes

ROBIN ON THE RIVER

By

Publisher: Little, Brown

A seal named Sol in the chief attraction in this pleasant vacation story set on the New England Coast. Robin, his sister and their friends, do find loot which was stolen by robbers, but the main charm of the book lies in the sea-side doings -- boating, lobster trapping, crabbing and swimming. Then there is Sol, a seal in training for show work, who loved to put himself to bed -- sometimes with someone already in the bed who came to the door with a hat in his mouth; and who enjoyed poking his shiny nose into others activities. Feather weight fun. Adolph Treidler's seals are more appealing than his children.
