YOU CAN START ALL OVER AGAIN

The author of Live Alone and Like It uses her own experience as springboard for a helpful book for widows and divorcees. (Apparently the ten years of sheltered matrimony which followed her career years were happy ones, but almost unfitted her for assuming independence after her husband's death). This is sound advice on the etiquette of mourning, the wisdom of taking a place in normal living promptly, the advisability of cultivating a hobby, finding new interests, taking a job if finance and point of view so indicated, the importance of new contacts, a social life, developing a personality that does not demand sympathy and protection. There is less of the light note, bordering on flippancy that characterized the other book, but the philosophy is the same. Might almost be titled Live Alone Again and Like It.
