SENIOR TRIP by Marjorie Holmes

Email this review

When the seniors at Waptipinteon (Iowa) High decide to go to the nation's their traditional class trip, they run into solid opposition from the high school principal. Washington is too far, too costly and much too dangerous; Des Moines is far enough afield. But the youngsters think differently; and by the time the year up they have earned more than financial support from the entire community. The first person technique is particularly regrettable, with teenage narrator Jean given to such as "" entangled with this shining image was something else an absorbing conviction of impending romance"". As wholesome as Dinah's and just about as dull.
