I MARRIED A HUNTER

... a photographer, film producer, professional musician, author and animal lover as well- and this is Mrs. Michael's friendly and equable account of the many experiences she shared with her husband. Their safaris were often a family affair- including their young daughters; at home in Pretoria they also maintained a menagerie of every kind of bird and beast- even an eighteen foot python. A housewife at heart, Marge adapted quickly to George's many enterprises and she writes with interest not only of their expeditions here and there, but also of native ways and beliefs, of curious to dangerous encounters with both man and beast, and always- fondly- of the variable, unpredictable George.
