ROBERTA, INTERIOR DECORATOR by Marjorie Mueller Freer

ROBERTA, INTERIOR DECORATOR

Pub Date: Sept. 1st, 1947

A glamour career series, this (ballet, radio, theater -- in its predecessors)- and there's been very little written for this age level on the subject of interior decorating. Roberta takes the rung-by-rung way,-starting with various courses, then a job in a department store, later, a job with a designer. She learns about furniture design, interiors, stage design. She meets all sorts of people, with a reasonable number of eligible youths which narrows down to two. Roberta chooses the less ardent swain, a young aspirant in the field of furniture design, and together they plan a good life. Lots of information in the field, which promises no easy road to success. Not as good a book as Gloria, Ballet Dancer -- but better than average.
