KIRKUS REVIEW

Ballads and lyrics, with the latter predominating. Some interesting verse patterns and a quality of fragility and rather feminine lightness of touch. They are usually abstract in theme, many are love poems and not without a certain charm. The ballads are less successful, more casually versified and distinctly more romantic, with an eerie note. All have a certain symbolic value, pleasing to ear and eye.
