KIRKUS REVIEW

The death in Paris of wealthy Peter Garrison- to the tune of the Caprice Viennoise, and the simultaneous murder in Brussels- with a similar musical accompaniment- of a newspaperman, presents a problem in timing for Donald Clive. Romantic affiliations and diplomatic connections, the subversive activities of les Capricieux- a Royalist group tagged as a communist cell, these form the basis for Clive's discreet to deliberate investigation.... Ooh la la- but no comph.
