THORNTON THE WORRIER by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat

THORNTON THE WORRIER

Pub Date: Oct. 15th, 1978

Thornton, a clothed rabbit, is a worrier. He worries about every remotely possible disaster--until he meets a man who doesn't worry at all though his house is perched precariously on the edge of a mountain. The house falls off the mountain, the man still doesn't worry about finding another, and Thornton takes the cue: ""Perhaps I do not have to worry about everything."" For padding, Sharmat gives Thornton a few friends--Daisy Beaver, Basil Hippopotamus, and Lynden Muskrat--but they don't make a living incident out of a cooked-up case.
