TO PARIS AND LOVE

One of three winners of Whirl magazine's fashion-design contest, 19 year-old Felicia was sent to Paris for an expenses paid apprenticeship to a well known French maison de couture. Three months to try to learn design; three months to live and work in Paris; and three months away from Bruce, her fiance! Some inside glimpses of the world of haute couture enliven this otherwise anemic career-love story (Felicia almost loses her heart to Henri, of the elegant manners and burning black eyes), but there is little information to guide anyone seriously interested in a fashion career. No depth. No humor. No memorable descriptions of Paris. In short, a typical teen-age (12-15) girls' career romance.
