In size-a ""pocketbook"" of family prayers, which offers the average family, who wish to share devotions, with prayers drawn from traditional sources, from the Scriptures, from individual inspiration. They are simple, brief, direct and concerned with the ordinary round of events, seasons, problems that the normal Christian family faces. The author's contention is that family devotions would again become customary if people were to find prayers to their need more readily available. This small group of prayers is mercifully free of sentimentality and jargon.
