SUN IN THE HUNTER'S EYES

A suspense novel, with Derby's favorite setting, Malaya, in the area around Singapore, and the jungles in Perak. Robert Avery is sent out to Singapore to attempt to trace his lost cousin, Andrew, who may or may not be living- and who is heir to a fortune which goes to his cousins if he is dead. Robert knew he was in for trouble- but he didn't expect successive attacks on his life; he didn't expect the dark cloak of mystery and violence to descend so swiftly; and certainly he didn't expect the mystery girl, Nona, whom he had met in England, to follow up her plea to him not to attempt the search by coming herself to Malaya to stop him. Intrigue, blackmail, strange incongruous characters, fast action, hairbreadth escapes- and finally, the revelation of the truth -- and the solution. Exciting spellbinder- one of Mark Derby's best.
