WATCHERS OF THE DARK

Jan Darzek, Private Detective, is recruited from the ""uncertified"" planet Earth to tackle the mysterious force invading the solar system. The Galactic Council hopes that the Earth's known adeptness at sneaky double-dealings (hence the ""uncertified"" label) will be a positive factor in handling ""The Dark,"" a force that pops planes into riot and eventual starvation when it hits. They picked the right man...and woman when Darzek's exceptionally capable secretary, sixty-year-old Miss Schlupe, tags along. As far as Science Fiction goes, it's back to the Dark Ages with this one.
