A gay take on Christie’s Ten Little Indians.
Tom and Scott have been vacationing on the Aegean island of Korkasi for several years. The resort caters exclusively to super-rich gays and their bodyguards and boy toys. Wealthy enough but hardly in the baronial class of the other guests, Tom, a teacher, and Scott, a major-league pitcher, return from a seaside cuddle to find resort owner Henry Tudor dead in their suite, a bullet in his head. A thunderstorm breaks out, a bomb decimates the resort, and before they can dig up a flashlight and a gun, the other guests begin dropping. Naturally, there’s no way on or off the island until the storm stops. Will anyone be left alive by then? Desperate to get to the bottom of things, Tom and Scott run afoul of a bitchy archaeologist, an NFL quarterback and his porn-star companion, a British aristocrat and the son of the pretender to the French throne, all of them with attitude to burn and no inclination to help our boys. Is Korkasi a drug distribution center? Does it house Nazi-confiscated art treasures? Will the rain ever stop?
Yes, it’s a letdown after Tom and Scott’s elaborate wedding (Here Comes the Corpse, 2002). And yes, Tom could use a few anger-management sessions. But Scott continues to be a dreamboat, whatever your sexual inclination.
