KIRKUS REVIEW

I've not seen the pictures, but- if it is safe to judge by its predecessors, this promises to be another lovely bit of Americana. The setting for the story is New Sweden, along the Delaware River; the period, that before the Dutch or the English disturbed the little Swedish settlement. Good picture of the life of those early settlers, but a story rather more thinly spun than the others, of a lonely little girl and her friendship with an Indian woman.
