KIRKUS REVIEW

....which is as nothing as to what Sullivan does to the reader. For all the stereotyped newspaper items are topsy-turvied so that it is a child helping a lost policeman, parents running away from home, eccentrics not leaving their wealth to pets, a human saving a dog in a burning house, pets hating each other, a bee in a car not stinging a driver; the savings are found before a mattress is destroyed, a minister gives goodbye presents to the congregation he is leaving, etc., etc. In the 35 illustrations accompanying these history-making episodes, Berman has included caricatures of some recognizable faces and his sketches add to the unreality. Plus sale and gift.
