CONQUERING THE SUN'S EMPIRE

A planet-by-planet survey of the probable course of man's conquest of space, is here with all of the facts and projects now known reported on together with credictions (very well-educated guesses) about the nature and methods that will be involved in this epic encounter. The two authors and the illustrator, Harry H-K Lange, are all technically proficient and able to present their material well. The three are employed on projects that aim to bring Earth closer to the conquest day. The the spirit of adventure and exploration is here in abundance, but, even more, the major point--which they make smoothly-- is that exploration in space is going to require a hitherto unknown degree of highly specialized skills. Astro-chemistry, astrogeology-geology and space physics are just the beginnings for the astro-intrepid.
